|In 2011, my son, Ashton Koningsor, was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis at the age of 8. It has been a long, hard journey for the whole family. There have been many ups and downs but Ashton has endured and shown great strength throughout his young life. |
The specific type of arthritis Ashton has is called Ankylosing Spondylitis and it affects his hips and spine. Ashton takes a biologic medication called Humira through biweekly injections. Without this medication my son would eventually lose his ability to walk. No child should endure the pain that is caused by arthritis.
Please join The "A" Team in support of raising money for the Arthritis Foundation. This holiday season, Iím participating in the Arthritis Foundationís Jingle Bell Run. This family-friendly, fun and festive 5K raises funds to help the Arthritis Foundation search for a cure while providing life-changing information and support to people with arthritis.
You can easily register to participate and donate or just donate to support the Arthritis Foundationís important work. Help me meet my goal to raise money for a cure.
